Because of economic globalization，many goods including what we used as daily life necessities by other countries have to be transported from long distance.

To what extent the advantages outweigh disadvantages？

The global economy is increasingly integrative【简单句】. However，there is much controversy over【关于】 whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages on【关于】 numerous goods transported for long distance as【作为】 our daily life necessities that are produced by other countries. It seems to me that the separate point of views may be as follows.

 

第二段：长途运输货物的优点

Those people who strongly believe that the goods transported for long distance have many merits have cogent reasons for it. First and foremost，it contributes to the optimization of resources on the grounds most of countries or areas all over the world have to import goods from other countries with the aim of satisfying people’s requirement，and among those things from other countries such agricultural products as fruits and vegetables rank first. Besides，the goods are from the world，ensuring the best quality and lowest prices for the buyers. For example，the largest retailer，Wal-Mart，always purchases all the goods across the world so that its items sold in its supermarkets are cheap and fine. Ultimately，the transportation industries are brought to boom in that the pattern of the development needs the global cooperation. This means that the transportation industries cannot live without the cooperation among countries because of the development of economy.

 

第三段：长途运输货物的缺点

Nevertheless，views on this issue vary from person to person. Some people assert that the disadvantages may lie in the follow aspects. To begin with，package waste exists since the goods must be well wrapped in the process of transportation，which need a huge waste. If they were not packed firmly，the goods would be destroyed. Furthermore，it is harmful to our health that chemical ingredients may be added to foods. Provided that some chemical ingredients are not appended in the long distance transportation，the goods transported fail to be saved for long time. Finally，long distance transportation causes more pollution to the environment. This may be the reason why ships，locomotives，truck and planes all emit polluting gas.
