Recently,an increasing number of criminals that exist have been concentrated by people. However, there has been much controversy over whether criminals should locked in jails permanently in order to reduce the rate of crime. From my perspective,I agree the point of views as follows.

First and foremost,it is good that criminals in prison for long time fail to commit crimes continuously. In other words, mercy to the the criminals may be cruelty to public. Obviously, thieves, robbers, rapists or even murderers are released out of jails, whose behaviors can bring a great amount of danger for those law-abiding citizens. So,law offenders who are punished severely should be given longer terms in prison to diminish the crime rate.

Besides, longer imprisonment of criminals can deter the potential criminals. This means that would-be criminals must think twice before they commit crimes on the grounds that they are in dead of the severe punishment. Researchers reveal that there is a direct link between the longer imprisonment of criminals and the decline of crime rate. If we were to lenient with criminals, the world would be in great danger and full of blood and violence.
第四段:将罪犯长期关押在监狱里的好处3
Finally, the criminals’ behaviors are under control when given longer terms in prison, which can ensure a safe and comfortable living environment to individuals in the modern society. As we all know, the criminals have to spend more time in prison before they are set free, preventing them from committing crimes again and saving the police much trouble to catch them.
