1、What are the legal holidays in China?
In China there are lots of legal holidays such as the Spring Festival, New Year's Day,during which people enjoy their holidays with pay.
2、Which festival is the most important for Chinese people? Why?
In my opinion, the traditional Chinese New Year, namely, the Spring Festival is the most important because it is a time for family reunion.
3、How do Chinese people celebrate the festival?
We often have a big celebration for the Spring Festival. We usually celebrate the Spring Festival according to the lunar calendar, and it is often on some day in the first half of February or rarely the second half of January, which, as you can see, is often the beginning of spring. Usually we have a big meal called family reunion dinner on the Eve of the Lunar New Year, and the New Year's Day is usually the time for people to visit friends and relatives to exchange New Year's greetings. We also stick the red Chinese character"Fu" upside down on our doors which means happiness.
4、What are the differences between your holiday and your parents' holiday?
Our parents usually spend their holidays at home, cleaning the room, preparing dinners and chatting with family members. However, most young people including me are fond of going traveling during holidays as you know, young people nowadays suffer from great work pressure during weekdays, and holiday is a good time for us to get relaxed.
5、In your opinion, what are the differences between the old and the young in their purposes of traveling?
For the old, traveling gives them a pleasant experience and makes them relaxed physically and psychologically. For us youth, traveling is aimed at dispersing our boredom and making us forget whatever annoys us. Both the old and the young may go over the memories of traveling and enjoy their past experiences, thus keeping a fresh and cheerful mind.
