1、Why do you like blue?

为什么你喜欢蓝色?

 

It means calm and tranquil to me. I have many clothes in blue.

我觉得蓝色对我而言意味着冷静和平静。我很多衣服都是蓝色的。

 

2、What color don't you like? What does it stand for?

你不喜欢什么颜色?它代表什么?

 

I dislike brown. Actually, I'm not clear about what it means. I think I will look like a trunk if l wear brown clothes.

实际上我不喜欢棕色,我不是很清楚它意味着什么。我只是觉得如果我穿棕色的衣服看起来像卡车。

 

3、Do you think that your favorite color is going to change as time goes?

你觉得你喜欢的颜色会不会随时间的推移而改变?

 

Yes, I guess so. Children tend to like bright colors while adults are usually attracted by dark colors. Dark colors stand for maturity.

嗯,我觉得会。孩子们趋向于喜欢亮丽的颜色,而成人们则常常会被深色所吸引,因为深色意味着成熟。

 

4、What can we find from the colors that people like?

我们可以从人们喜欢的颜色发现什么?

 

Maybe we can know what kind of personality they have. If they tend to like light colors,maybe they are easy-going and hospitable. If they like dark colors like brown or gray,possibly they are introvert and conservative.

我们可能可以从中知道他们的性格。如果他们喜欢亮色,他们可能是易相处的、热情的人;如果他们喜欢像棕色或者灰色那样的暗色,他们可能是内向的、保守的人。

 

5、What's the influence of colors on you?

颜色对于你有什么影响?

 

When I see striking colors, I am always inspired by them and have a good mood. And when I see dark colors, I just feel depressed. Color not only influences my mood, but also my appetite. You know, when I see some light color like green, I'll have a good appetite.Otherwise, I might lose it.

当我看见惹人注目的颜色时,我总会因此而受到鼓舞,并且会有一个好心情。而当我看到暗沉的颜色时,我会情绪低落。颜色不仅影响我的心情,还会影响我的食欲。当我看到像绿色那样的亮色时,我会很有食欲,否则我可能会没胃口的。

I had a lot of clothes in red and yellow when I was a child. Maybe all children like bright colors.

Generally speaking, red represents passion. Yellow means energetic and bright.

Yes, some colors have special meanings in China. For example, red represents happiness.During the Spring Festival, people, especially children will dress in red and they also wrap their gifts in red papers. Red is used to add some festive atmosphere.

是的,在中国,有某些颜色有着特殊的意味。例如,红色表示幸福。在春节的时候,人们特别是孩子会穿上红色的衣服并且用红色的纸来包裹他们的礼物。红色可用来增添节日气氛。

 

9、Do you think that colors mean differently in different situations?

你觉得不同的颜色在不同的情况下有不同的意思吗?

 

Yes, I think so. Take white for example. It represents pure and simple at a wedding, but it also means death and grief at a funeral.

对,我是这么认为的。拿白色为例,在婚礼上白色意味着纯洁和朴素,但在葬礼上白色就意味着死亡和不幸。

 

10、What's the relationship between colors and personality?

颜色和性格之间的联系是什么?

 

It is said if you like bright color, you must be an optimist person who enjoys life, leisure,and excitement. If you prefer gray and blue, you are probably quiet, shy and you are going to hide yourself away from strangers.

据说如果你喜欢亮色,你可能是一个享受生活、休闲和兴奋的事的乐观主义者;而如果你喜欢灰色或者蓝色,你很有可能是一个安静的、害羞的,并逃避接触陌生人的人。

 

Red expresses excitement, high energy, warmth and vibrancy. It is the strongest of all colors. It is a very stimulating and active color.

红色表示兴奋、活力高、温暖和活泼。它是所有颜色中最强烈的一种,是一种非常令人兴奋的活跃的颜色。

 

Green represents nature, growth and relaxation. It is a soothing color and may remind us of rebirth. Green goes with almost any color.

绿色代表自然、生长和放松。它是使人慰蔽的颜色,而且会让我们想到再生。绿色几乎与所有颜色相配。

 

Pink hints at trustworthiness, happiness, youth and sweetness.

粉色暗示着可靠、幸福、年轻和甜蜜。

 

Blue reflects a calm, restful and relaxing environment.

蓝色反映着沉着、宁静以及令人愉悦的环境。

 

Yellow represents happiness and optimism, however vivid and light tints can appear even brighter and more glaring than white.

黄色代表幸福和乐观,然而鲜艳的和淡的色彩可以比白色看起来更加明亮和耀眼。

 

Brown conveys contentment and comfort. It is a subtle and masculine color.

棕色表达满足和舒适,是一种难以捉摸的、有男子气的颜色。

 

Purple is a regal color which can denote nobility, dignity and luxury.

紫色是帝王的颜色,代表贵族、尊贵以及奢华。

 

Orange symbolizes spirit, warmth, comfort and action.

Taupe communicates conservative thinking and is considered a very sophisticated color.

Black is bold, elegant, sophisticated and dominant. It looks great with white, gray and chrome.

White implies virtue, purity, cleanliness, spaciousness and innocence.
