1、A What kind of music do you like? Why?
你喜欢什么样的音乐?为什么?
I like many kinds of music involving hip-pop, jazz, orchestra, musical and so on. It is a fantastic world, which can bring you enlightenment and inspiration. I like pop music best,especially UK songs played by Spice Girls, Robbie Williams, and the Corrs band. I will forget everything while listening to the music.

First of all, listening to music can relax ourselves completely, particularly after a whole day's work, sitting down and listening the wonderful melodies. That's fantastic! Secondly,we can learn knowledge from music like the historical events and the background of the music, even the deeply meaning of the song.
首先,听音乐能让我们彻底放松,特别是工作了一天以后,坐下来欣赏美妙的旋律,简直是太棒了!其次,在听音乐的过程中,我们能学习一些与音乐相关的历史事件和背景知识,更可以体会一些歌曲中的深刻含义。

Yes, because when children play musical instruments, there are a simple joy in experimenting with an instrument and a unique and special satisfaction in performing as part of a band or orchestra.
应该学习,因为当孩子演奏乐器的时候,乐器的演奏仅仅是一种乐趣,作为乐队或管弦乐队的一分子演出,有一种独特的和特殊的满足感。
6、Is music important for children? Why or why not?
音乐对小孩是否重要?为什么?
Of course, it is very important. Music is the universal language of mankind. It provides a means of individual expression of relaxation and enjoyment, and better use of leisure time as well.Music is in us. It's ability inherent in every child, simply awaiting development. Unfortunately,some children may never know the joys of creating their own music, exploring their innate abilities, or discovering the joys of this self-expression. For most children, that opportunity comes but once. To be denied that opportunity is to forfeit this natural means of self-expression.是的,非常重要。音乐是人类的一种世界性的语言。它提供了个人表达放松和享受的一种方法,也让他们更好地利用空闲时间。音乐在我们的生活中。它是每个孩子与生俱来的才能,只是有待开发。遗憾的是,一些孩子可能永远也不知道创造属于自己的音乐的乐趣,探索他们天生的才能,或是发现这种自我表达的乐趣。对绝大多数孩子来说,机不可失,时不再来。机会失去了,就会丧失这种天然的自我表达的方法。
7、What can parents do in order to improve their children's interests in music?

If parents want to improve their children's interests in music, they themselves should be lovers of music. Creating a good musical environment is of much importance. Children's success in learning to play an instrument depends a lot on parents, so parents'involvement is vital to children's attitude and progress.
如果家长想要提高孩子对音乐的兴趣,那么他们自己就应当是音乐爱好者。创造一个好的音乐环境是很重要的。孩子学习演奏乐器的成功很大程度上依靠家长,因此对于孩子的态度与进步,家长的参与是必不可少的。
8、Will people spend more time listening to music in the future?
未来人们会花更多的时间听音乐吗?
I believe so. When more work is done by computers and robots in the future, man will have more free time for relaxation and enjoyment. And music, as a part of living, will certainly attract people.
我认为是这样的。未来更多的工作由电脑以及机器人来完成,人们有更多的空闲时间来放松和享受。音乐,作为生活的一部分,肯定会吸引人。
9、What are the differences between Chinese and Western music?
中国音乐和西方音乐之间有什么不同?
Music is conceived by the Chinese as a means of calming the passion and of dispelling unrest and lust, rather than as a form of amusement. This is perhaps the greatest difference from Western music. Also, traditionally the Chinese have believed that sound influences the harmony of the universe, so melody and tone color are prominent expressive features of Chinese music.
在中国,音乐被认为是一种平息情欲以及消除不安与欲望的方法,而不是一种娱乐的方式。这可能就是与西方音乐最大的不同。并且,传统上中国人相信声音左右宇宙的和谐,因此旋律和音色是中国音乐显著的表达特色。
