Post-school qualifications in Australia according to gender 1999
The bar chart displays post-school qualifications which had various levels,as well as the proportion of males and females holding them in Australia in 1999.
As can be seen from the bar chart,skilled vocational diploma for males was the most popular with approximately 90%,followed by postgraduate diploma and master’s degree accounting for 70% and 60% respectively. Besides,bachelor’s degree by nearly 50% was more than undergraduate diploma that occupied 37%.
In terms of post-school qualifications held by females,undergraduate diploma with about 70% had the largest proportion,while skilled vocational diploma was the least popular,only leaving 8%. Additionally,females obtained bachelor’s degree that demonstrated the second larger proportion of 70%. Moreover,postgraduate diploma with 30% was almost 10% less than master’s degree with 40%,both of which were possessed by females.
To sum up,there was a big difference among post-school qualifications according to genders in Australia in 1999 when males based on skilled vocational diploma were the largest,but females were the smallest.
