As can be seen from the line graph，the residents whose figures was approximately 12 million in 1979 experienced an abrupt increase with 53 million in 1999，visiting abroad from the UK. Besides，oversea residents travelling to the UK indicated a growth，who soared significantly from almost 10 million in 1979 to 28 million in 1999.

According to the bar chart，France visited by the UK residents ranked the first place with about 11 million，which was followed by Spain holding 9.2 million. Furthermore，the UK residents travelled to the USA，Greece and Turkey where the data were almost the same with nearly 4 million，3 million and 2 million respectively.
