比较句型

比较句型的基本形式为“形容词副词的比较级+than”。

Second-hand cigarette smoke does more harm to non-smokers than to smokes.

二手烟雾对非烟民的危害大于吸烟者本人。

No activity affects more of the earth’s surface than farming.

农耕活动对地表的影响之大是其他任何活动所难以企及的。

More food is now produced per of the world’s population than at any time in history.

现在世界人均食物产量比历史上的任何时期都多。

The more effort put in and the wider the whole school involvement, the more substantial the results are likely to be.

投入的努力越多，全校参与的范围越广泛，就越有可能取得实质性结果。

 

很多时候，在形容词和副词比较级之前会出现表示程度的副词，对比较级加以修饰。

Radio is far more portable than TV.

收音机远比电视机便于携带。

In every case, British spending is considerably higher than of other countries.

英国的花销在所有方面都比其他国家高出许多。

It is a great deal easier to motivate employees in a growing organization than a declining one.
