For decades, scientists have debated whether the birth of new cells was possible in an area of the brain that is responsible for learning, memory and mood regulation. A growing body of research59 , but then a Nature paper last year raised doubts. Now, a new study 60 .

Women across Japan are fed up with having to wear high-heeled shoes to work. One woman is so fed up that she  65  for female employees to wear the shoes. The movement has the#KuToo.
