考博英语写作指导

 

一、开头段写法

 

文章的开头段很重要，如果处理得当，一开始就能吸引读者的注意力。

 

（1）主题句法

 

提出一个论点或论据作为文章要阐述的主题，是读者了解你写作的理由或目的。

 

例如：

This report summaries the result our fourth-quarter sales.

【这份报告总结了......。】

One of the most notable phases of the industrial revolution was the rapid growth of cities.

【......最显著的阶段之一是......。】

（2）问题法

 

用提问的方式来引发文章的内容，吸引读者的注意力。

 

例如：

Should a scientist be responsible for his discovies？

【.....是否应该对......负责？】

Waht does it take to successed in one’s studies or career？

（3）数据法

 

用某些统计数字来引出文章的内容。

 

例如：

The fact that less than 5% of the British population graduate from universities may seem surprising when compared with the American percentage of over 30%.

【......，这一事实似乎令人惊讶，而......。】

（4）概要法

 

开宗明义地让读者了解文章的主要观点，然后通过举例，或逻辑推理等方法加以佐证。

 

例如：

This memo covers five steps in the new produre.

【......涵盖了新计划中的五个步骤。】

This report is divided into three main sections：①what equipment you need，②how to use equipment，③how to maintain equipment.

【本报告分为三个主要部分：①......，②......，③......】

二、结尾段

 

在写英文作文时，结尾是值得考生重视的另一个关键的地方。如果写得好，往往能给读者留下深刻的印象。

 

（1）重复文章的主题句

 

重复文章的主题句的目的在于强调作者的主要论点。

 

例如：

Whith the foregoing three points in mind，one can be true good student.

【考虑到以上三点，一个人可以成为真正的好学生。】

If any items mentioned above arouse tour interest，please let us know.

（2）概括结论

 

用几句话概括上下文内容来加深读者对文章观点的理解。

 

例如：

From what has been discussed above，we may draw a conclusion that no success can be achieved without laboring.

【从上面的讨论中，我们可以得出一个结论：......。】

In summary，we should create such an environment in which each child in his or her own way follows his curiosity where it leads him，develops his ability and talents，pursues his interests and likes.

【总之，我们应该创造这样一种环境，让......。】

（3）提出展望或期望

 

表示对将来的期待或是鼓动读者采取行动。

 

例如：

It is essential that effective measures should be taken to redress such inequality.

【必须采取有效措施纠正这种不平等现象。】

It is high time that we should urge an immediate end to this phenomenon.

【现在是我们立即结束这一现象的时候了。】（urge an immediate end to...【立即结束......】）

（4）强调意义

 

从更高或一个新的角度来强调上述论点的重要性或其深远的意义。

 

例如：

Admittedly，science has creasted atomic boms and produced perspective population. But it ahs transformed the lives of millions of people.

【不可否认，......。但是......。】
